I chose this map because I really enjoy the use of water colors and the creative way the artist/cartographer approached it. Since the basic design of the map is relatively simple, it has given the creator the opportunity to add interesting visuals and colors. I have always enjoyed hiking the Appalachian Trail but have never had the opportunity to travel the entire trail. There are several other interesting water color maps in the link provided.
